Let it snow!

Christmas Day came and after the thrill and excitement of presents and Santa calmed down my four year old ended up at the window. He sadly declaired that it couldn't really be Christmas since there wasn't any snow. It broke my heart. I wanted to make it "officially" Christmas for my little guy but I don't have Mother Nature's direct number. :)

Unfortunately, it has taken weeks for us to get a real storm. While we were waiting for our snow to come I took matters into my own hands.

Snowflake cookies...
I made a simple dozen. They say that each and every snowflake is different, each a unique creation. I chose to follow that same design idea. Have you ever tried to design twelve snowflakes? I admit it was harder than I thought. In hind sight I should have Googled snowflakes but hey - you live and learn. Some I like more than others must the most important thing...

they were super tasty!

In case you were wondering we have finally have snow much to my baby's delight!

Do you need a sweet treat in the midst all of this blustery weather?

It wore an itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny....

nope not a yellow poke-a-dot bikini :) After all it was for a teeny, tiny new little baby. I hated to take a picture on my cookie sheet but hey, I was a woman on a mission. The night before taking a dinner to a good friend of mine I decided she needed some new baby cookies....TADA!

I loved the way these turned out. Not too bad for my first set of onsies...I would love to make more. Who do I know that is going to have a baby? Any volunteers? You have the babies and I will lovingly make the cookies. :)

Simple Christmas

I love Christmas and I loved being given the chance to make a large batch of Christmas cookies...not once but twice. I decided to keep the designs simple since I was making these cookies in large numbers. I don't think it hurt their charm do you?

Reindeer...
Evergreens...
Snowmen...
Christmas Lights...

Candy canes with a touch of sugary sparkles...
Wreath...

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season! See you in 2012!!

Black cat and sorting hat
Wizards hat
Hogwarts train and broom

Wouldn't these make cute thank you gifts? A thank you gift for teachers, volunteers, or friends that have been willing to offer you a helping hand. Add a clear bag and a ribbon, or gift bag or box to finish off this unique thank you.

Harvest Mini's GIVEAWAY

Aren't these cute?
These mini cookies pack just as much punch as their full size counterparts. I love all of the little details. The colors were inspired by Sugarbelle's Amazing Ivory color palete. I love how just a touch of ivory in these what would be normal basic colors really adds to the final product. Thanks Sugarbelle for your inspiration!

Need a gift? Looking to thank a friend or a neighbor? Out Harvest in a Jar is perfect, it comes with 24 mini cookies in a ribbon adorned jar.

GIVEAWAY
You could win a Harvest in a Jar. To be entered leave a comment about who you would give your jar too. For a second entry like us on FaceBook and leave a comment. A winner will be randomly selected on September 30, 2011.

Get Well

Get well soon - its a saying often heard but sounds so much better when it is coming in the form of a cookie. This little tin was filled (you can't see the bottom layer) with bright pink and blue band-aids and one Get Well message cookie. I hope Makenna has a speedy recovery!
